Actually, all the xbox s now being produced are being made with the new chipset which runs at much cooler temperatures, which fixes this problem. Which was caused by overheating of the sauder connections. What would happen is that they would overheat, cool down, over heat, cool down, and so on. Eventually because of all the flexing, the sauder would crack and the you would get the three red lights of death. It should not happen at all with the new chipset however, if it does happen Microsoft has extended their warranty on the systems to years. So I would say it is a safe bet. Nevermind a PS. I own all three next gen systems and my PS doesnt even get used. I regret buying it.
